Legion Helper (the website legion.takras.net and the Legion Helper app for iOS and Android) is a free fan project run by [FULL NAME - fill in before publishing], a private individual in Norway, who is responsible for the personal data described here.
Questions about your data, or requests to see, correct or delete it: privacy@takras.net
Stored on your device. Army lists, Tours of Duty and tours registers, scoreboard games, quiz progress and display settings are saved in your browser or app storage. They never leave your device unless you log in or share a list.
Anonymous usage statistics. To see which pages and features are used, the server records events such as page views, keywords opened and cards printed, with a rough device type (mobile, tablet, desktop). To count daily visitors, it combines your IP address and browser identifier into a code that changes every day and cannot be turned back into either. The IP address and browser identifier themselves are not stored, no cookie is set, and visits on different days cannot be linked. Individual events are deleted after 90 days; only daily totals are kept.
Daily quiz. Your guesses are stored on the server with a random game code so the quiz can check your answers. The code is not linked to you unless you are logged in.
Website: Legion Helper sets no cookies of its own for statistics. Google Analytics 4 (loaded through Google Tag Manager) is only activated if you allow statistics cookies in the cookie banner. The banner stores your choice so it does not ask again. You can change your choice any time on the Account page.
App: no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager and no advertising or cross-app tracking. Only the anonymous statistics described above are used.
Logging in is optional. When you log in, Patreon shares the following with Legion Helper, and it is stored with your account:
This is used to recognise you across devices and to unlock features that belong to your membership tier. Your email address is only used to tell you when feedback you posted gets a new status or a reply. Legion Helper never sees your Patreon password or payment details.
After logging in, a login token is stored on your device (and as a secure cookie on takras.net during login). It is valid for 30 days and lets Legion Helper refresh your membership information from Patreon. Logging out removes it from the device.
When you delete an army list, a short record of the deletion is kept so your other devices remove it too.
In Tours of Duty you can ask for a journal draft. The battle details (units, mission, results) and the short texts you write for it are sent to Cloudflare Workers AI, which generates the draft. Your name and email are not sent. The number of drafts you request each day is stored to enforce a daily limit.
If you ask to join the Android test, the Google Play email and the name you enter are stored so you can be added to the test in Google Play and sent the link to join it. A hash of your network address, which changes every day, is kept to limit how many requests can be sent. To have your request removed, contact privacy@takras.net.
Some of these companies are based in the United States and may process data outside the EEA. Such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Log in and go to Manage, then Delete my data, on the website or in the app. This permanently deletes your account, army lists, registers, settings, custom content, uploaded images, quiz results and usage events linked to you.
Feedback, comments, votes and translations you shared stay available to others, but are no longer linked to you and show as Deleted user. You can also choose to remove the army lists saved on your device.
Your Patreon account is not affected. To remove Legion Helper's access to it, remove the app under connected apps in your Patreon settings. If you cannot log in, email privacy@takras.net and your data will be deleted within 30 days.
You have the right to access, correct, delete and receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. Email privacy@takras.net to use these rights. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.no) or the data protection authority where you live.
Legion Helper is not aimed at children under 13, and logging in requires a Patreon account, which has its own age requirements.
This policy is updated when Legion Helper starts handling data in a new way. The date at the top shows the latest version.
